Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills and staining) in one go without having to swap out devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
- Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you up and running with a clean, complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, robotvacuummops and a user-friendly app that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models are unable to. Its only drawback is that it can smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but just a glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
The docking station has an LCD display that indicates the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time and the mop is able to operate for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you see all the details of the cleaning.
- Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot mop and vacuum, is the most up-to-date version. The model this year has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity which allows it to pull up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes two cameras that can recognize objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its direction and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can take the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I have discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if it's required) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor battery life and component maintenance. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.
- Dreame X40

It can also get under furniture with low profile which makes it a great option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a great feature that enables the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is user-friendly and user-friendly, and the X40's smart features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps, and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many features which make it a good choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It will also tell you if the mop pad is at its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it spills.
- L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have many features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirty spots.
The mop mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a useful way of keeping your home clean for longer.
There's an impressive amount of options available that include the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a variety of preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has many options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has many functions that are not available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen in the market, sporting metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
